Christmas Time...
12th November 2011
Christmas! We're bombarded with advertisments from October, the songs have already started and so it's nearly time to start thinking Christmas trees. Here at the farm, we sell Nordmann Firs sustainably grown in Hampshire, and have done so now for several years. With delivery to Tunbridge Wells, Paddock Wood and Maidstone, why not have a look at our Christmas Tree section, or go to our sister website www.downingburychristmastrees.co.uk for more information?!
Autumn on it's way!
17th September 2011
The weather this year has been absolutely perfect for the Plums, and so they have come forth in there multitudes. Currently, we have the Marjorie Seedlings available for PYO, and have so far proved very popular! However, if Plums aren't your thing, why not come down for other PYO fruits? The strawberries and raspberries are still coming strong (although Raspberries less so and a little more unpredictable in quanitity!) so why not pretend it's still the summer?! Equally, the Blackberry season is still going well, and a declicious pie could be made by using some of our PYO apples (currently including Cox, Bramley, Russet, Worcester and Gala). We hope to see you soon!
Just a quick update...
20th August 2011
...to say that the current PYO fruits are Strawberries, Raspberries, Blackcurrants, Redcurrants and of course Plums and Damsons. The eagerly awaited Victorias have finally arrived and certainly deliver on flavour (or at least the ones I picked for my lunch did!) but as with all Victoria seasons, they won't be around for too long! So if you're looking at making jam or just fancy some plums, get down soon to avoid dissapointment...
The Eagerly Awaited Update...
30th July 2011

Although the season has now come to an end for the Gooseberries, we still have Strawberries, Raspberries, Plums, Blackcurrants and Redcurrants available for PYO. And with sunshine and some of the warmest temperatures this summer forecast for next week, we hope to see you here for some PYO fun!
